Symptoms: Check if the person responds and is breathing normally.

What to do: Call 112 immediately. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest, about 5cm deep, at 100-120 pushes per minute. Keep going until help arrives or the person responds.

Symptoms: Face drooping on one side. Arm weakness or numbness. Slurred or strange speech.

What to do: Call 112 immediately and note the time symptoms started. Do not give food, water, or medication. Keep the person calm and still.

Symptoms: Chest pain or pressure, possibly spreading to the arm, jaw, or back. Shortness of breath, sweating, nausea.

What to do: Call 112 immediately. Help the person sit down in a comfortable position and loosen tight clothing. Stay with them until help arrives.

Symptoms: Cannot speak, cough, or breathe. Clutching at the throat.

What to do: Give 5 firm back blows between the shoulder blades. If that does not work, give 5 abdominal thrusts (Heimlich maneuver). Repeat until the object clears or help arrives. Call 112 if it does not resolve quickly.

Symptoms: Red, blistered, or damaged skin from heat, chemicals, or electricity.

What to do: Cool the burn under cool (not ice-cold) running water for 10-20 minutes. Remove nearby tight items like rings. Cover loosely with a clean, non-fluffy cloth. Do not apply ice, butter, or ointments. Seek medical care for large or deep burns.

Symptoms: Heavy or fast blood loss from a wound.

What to do: Apply firm, direct pressure with a clean cloth. Raise the injured area above heart level if possible. Keep steady pressure until bleeding slows. Seek medical care for deep or heavy bleeding.

Symptoms: Suspected broken bone: pain, swelling, deformity, inability to move the area normally.

What to do: Keep the area still — do not try to realign it. Support it with padding or a splint if possible. Apply a cloth-wrapped ice pack to reduce swelling. Get medical care as soon as possible.

Symptoms: Uncontrolled shaking, loss of awareness, or staring spells.

What to do: Clear the area of hard or sharp objects. Cushion their head. Do not hold them down or put anything in their mouth. Time the seizure. Once it stops, turn them onto their side. Call 112 if it lasts over 5 minutes or repeats.

Symptoms: Sudden brief loss of consciousness, often with paleness or dizziness beforehand.

What to do: Lay the person flat and raise their legs above heart level. Loosen tight clothing and ensure fresh air. If they do not wake and breathe normally within a minute, call 112.

Symptoms: Very high body temperature, confusion, hot/dry or heavily sweating skin, rapid pulse.

What to do: Move to a cool place immediately. Remove excess clothing. Cool the body with water, damp cloths, or fanning. Give small sips of water only if fully conscious. Call 112 immediately — heat stroke can be life-threatening.
